About the Chapel

Celebrating 125 Years of Worship at Lake Nuangola

Located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, on beautiful Lake Nuangola, The Nuangola Chapel Association was chartered in 1898.  Until that time, services had been held on a platform on Vandermark Avenue (now the pavilion).  The newly formed non-denominational Chapel Association purchased the lot next door, and by 1904, the chapel was built.  The early church consisted of a summer church, and a year-round church with services twice a month.  In 1972 the summer and winter church united under the name Nuangola Union Chapel.  Eventually the chapel services were held in summer only, with worship services occurring throughout July and August, with a different minister each week.   In 2023, the chapel was completely renovated to serve the lake community for generations to come.

All are welcome at the chapel!  Join us for summer services in our beautiful chapel, located at 26 Vandermark Avenue, Nuangola PA.
